Help · When something goes wrong
If Lotdesk seems slow or down
How to tell whether the problem is Lotdesk, your connection or your phone, and why your lots are safe either way.
Start with the status page. It says in plain words whether the book is answering, whether the sample sale still passes its daily check, and whether the phones that have reported are all up to date. If it says everything is working and your screen disagrees, the cause is usually on your side.
Then work out which it is:
- Other websites are slow too. The problem is the connection. Move to better signal or wifi.
- Only Lotdesk is slow, and the status page is green. Reload the page. Then try another browser or another network, such as the phone's mobile data in place of wifi.
- The status page is not green. Wait and look again. You do not need to do anything with a lot you have written.
Your lots are safe while you wait. Each lot is saved on the phone before it is sent, and it stays there until the book has confirmed it has the lot. If the book cannot be reached, the outbox bar says so, and the lot goes by itself when it can. See The outbox.
Two habits help on a bad day: keep the same browser open, and do not clear its data until the outbox bar is empty. See Working with no signal.
If the status page has been green for some time and you still cannot get in, tell us what you see and at what time.
