Privacy policy

Effective 2026-09-30.

What we hold

Your email address and a scrypt hash of your password — never the password itself. The book you write: consignors and their terms, lots, descriptions, condition notes, estimates, photographs of the goods, and the state each lot is in. Billing identifiers come from Stripe; card data never reaches us.

Where it lives

On servers provided by Fly.io (US region, iad), with the database and the photographs on an encrypted-at-rest volume. Card payments are handled by Stripe, Inc.

Cookies

One cookie: a session cookie (HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax) that keeps you signed in. No analytics, no advertising trackers, no third-party embeds.

Who sees it

You, and us when operating the service. Nothing is shared with anyone else, apart from the first drafts described below if the house turns them on. The sample house's sale is published as a demonstration; a real house's sale is not listed anywhere and there is no bidder or vendor login.

First drafts from photographs

If the house turns on first drafts in its settings, then each time someone asks for a draft for a lot, the photographs of that lot (up to four), the house's example lots and any note typed for it are sent to Anthropic, PBC, in the United States, which returns the draft. Nothing is sent while the setting is off, and no photograph is sent for any other purpose. We keep the draft on the lot and a count and cost of each request, not a second copy of the photographs. Anthropic's own terms and privacy policy apply to what it receives.

Vendors' and buyers' details

A consignment record holds a vendor's name, address and terms. Keep that to what the job needs; the house is the one with the lawful basis for it, and we process it only to run the service for the house.

Retention and your rights

Records are kept while the account is open and deleted within 30 days of a closure request; backups age out within 7 days. Ask us at support@algd.store to export, correct or delete a house's records, and we act on it. Photographs deleted with an account are removed with it.
